About the Cafe
When plans were being developed for the new library, the Friends made a commitment to establish a cafe. Many hours of planning and research by the Cafe in the Library Committee resulted in the wonderful facility which was christened Dewey’s Friends after the Dewey Decimal cataloging system most of us grew up with.
Dewey’s is run 100% by volunteers, and over the years Dewey’s Cafe has raised thousands of dollars for library programs.
At Dewey’s Friends, you can get coffee, tea, soft drinks, and snacks. Bring your laptop—the Cafe (and the entire Library) is a wireless hotspot.
There is a sunny, sheltered courtyard adjacent to the Cafe, which is open when the weather is warm.
The Friends also maintain an honor system book sale rack in one corner.
