Used Book Sale News!

Our amazing book sale committee volunteers, led by FAL board members Marcie Soslau and Carole Robie, are rethinking how to sell donated books. Though we may return to our large weekend sales at the O’Club in the future, in the near term, planning is underway for a small retail space in the Alameda Main Library. We are planning a grand opening in January, initially with limited hours 3 or 4 days a week. We’ll update you on our plans in November.

We will soon be able to accept a limited number of donations of the bags and boxes many of you have accumulated in your garages and basements over the past year and a half. Again, we’ll update you in the near future as we firm up our plans.

The book sale team has been scanning and selling books online as an additional way to raise funds and reduce our inventory. Thank you to the book sale committee volunteers, both new and old members, for their hard work and creative ideas for returning to book sales!
