Over 10,000 books will be sold at bargain-basement prices during this 3-day event, including popular new releases. Books for Friends will be open during the Used Book Sale, offering a curated collection of high-quality used books. Need a coffee or pastry after you shop? Try out the new menu items at the Library Friends Cafe. And be sure to let us know if you are interested in helping out at the sale, as we are in need of volunteers. On a very sad note, we are heartbroken at the sudden passing of board member David Beall. Supporters may know David from his wonderful and vital work behind the scenes of the Friends @ Home events. He managed all aspects of these events, including Zoom links, questions, statistics, and follow-up reports. He located and scheduled authors, trained presenters to deliver professional presentations, and managed the live events backstage. Additionally, he did an outstanding job as the board secretary. Words cannot express the loss we all feel and our sorrow at not having time to thank him for his enormous contributions to FAL. Our thoughts go out to his family.
