Annual supporters are the lifeblood of the Friends of the Alameda Library and we have just started our annual appeal. COVID-19 has placed many of our in-person fundraising activities on hiatus. We look to you to help us continue to support the programs and services of the Alameda Free Library.
In addition, did you know the 2020 Cares Act passed by the government on March 27 expands charitable contributions?
- You can deduct $300 for monies given to charity even if you don’t itemize.
- You are able to deduct your charitable contributions up to 100% of your income, compared with 60% of your AGI (adjusted gross income) previously allowed.
- Corporations can deduct up to 25% of taxable income, compared with 10% previously allowed.
